click on exe in download folder
choose Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java and Web Dev
click install and accept the agreements
click Launch - version 2025-12

intelliJ
Download IntelliJ IDEA
also has Kotlin and can get subscription to unlock supreme features
click on download
run exe
click on checkbox to create shortcut and that's it
allow networks to access, allow or disallow stats to be sent

pycharm
also from JetBrains
Download PyCharm: The Python IDE for data science and web development by JetBrains
click on download
run exe, click on checkbox like before to create shortcut
allow IDE to be ran
skip import of settings from other Jetbrains 
it asked to install latest python interpreter 3.14.0

both the intelliJ and Pycharm come with 30 day free trials of extended features

Install VSC (Visual Studio Code)

Install Python and Pygame

	note:  this will download Python right away
	please go to your Download folder and double click on it to launch it
	You will see the following screen (or something similar)

Install Python plugin on VCS then try some Python programming!
	First, create the VSCPython folder in your documents folder 
		e.g. C:\Users\paulw\Documents\VSCPython
